WE ARE NOT A JUST SHOW UP AND PLAY TEAM, this is a PROGRAM complete with knowledgeable coaches and trainers. We also teach the game of basketball in a classroom setting, watch game footage and make smarter, knowledgeable players in the game of basketball.

Coach Hester started his coaching career more than 25 years ago in the Defiance youth basketball program where he served as the junior high coach and freshman head coach. He would later go on and work at his alma mater, Defiance High School, under future hall-of-fame coach Kirk Lehman.
During Hester's time at DHS, he helped lead the boys program to three Western Buckeye League championships, along with numerous sectional and district titles.
Hester is also the founder and director of the Ohio Reign AAU basketball team, which is one of the premiere AAU programs in northwest Ohio.
After graduating from Defiance, Hester went on to attend the University of Toledo for one year before transferring to Tri-State University (now Trine University), where he earned his bachelor's degree in business administration in 1996.
Hester is currently the owner of Custom Tees & Apparel, a retail store located in Defiance since 2006. With 16 years as a small business owner, Hester is very respected in the Defiance community, volunteering his time at the Defiance YMCA for numerous basketball camps and clinics.
Hester has three kids. Breanna graduated from Ohio Northern University and received her master's degree in accounting at Tiffin University and currently Accounting Lead at Goodyear Headquarters while Cornelius Hester II is finishing his bachelor's at Purdue University Fort Wayne and works for Pepsi Co, majoring in business administration. He also has a younger daughter, Faith Hester.

He was a member of the 2015 Defiance High School Bulldogs State Championship Team and a member of the Defiance High School Hall of Fame with his team. He will be a vital part of the administrative team and an assistant coach for

Introduction "Coach Tank" Ernest Mitchell who has been a Ohio Reign Basketball coach for 4 years in our youth development program. Coach Tank has over 20 years experience in AAU coming from the DC/Virginia area. Coach Tank brings a lot of experience working behind the scenes and organizing the Program.
Max Denman, an Anthony Wayne High School alum and if you know anything about NW Ohio high school basketball, you know or have heard of this prolific sharp shooter. Max attended BGSU, quarterback of the football program, and is currently finishing up his degree. In addition, he lead the acclaimed 2019 Ohio Reign basketball team which was

In addition, he lead the acclaimed 2019 Ohio Reign basketball team which was also ranked in the top 10th AAU ranked by prep hoops. Max will serve as Ohio Reign Phenoms Shooting Coach and Asst.Coach program wide. Bringing this alum back to Ohio Reign to inspire and help young was a passion he has whole heartedly.
